Elegant Music for Weddings, Receptions, Rehearsal Dinners

"Eric has been our kids' piano teacher since August and we are blessed to have him teaching our kids. We also hired Eric to play some background music and to lead a sing-a-long at a Christmas party that we co-host for our neighbors each year. It was a fantastic night and Eric did a wonderful job. Everyone from age 2 on up loved the music and participated in singing. His professionalism, enthusiasm, and talent helped to make our party one of the best that we've had. Our neighbors are still talking about how much they enjoyed Eric's music. We would not hesitate to hire Eric again for any event for which we'd need a pianist."
Kirsten, Private Christmas Party, Gainesville, December 2008

In two decades as a piano player, arranger, composer, and vocalist, I have developed my own sound which is a unique tapestry of many diverse threads.  My years of experience have uniquely qualified me to design a creative and appropriate blend of music for your special event.  You can hear me play and sing on my Wedding Ceremony Music Guide

Whether you're looking for live piano only, or piano with some vocals in the mix, I can help to make your occasion extra special.

I've studied classical music, enduring hymns (including writing fresh arrangements of great classics), smooth jazz (like Kenny G, Chris Botti, Jim Brickman), soulful Gospel, the luxuriant chords of big bands (like Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble's music), fun oldies, and the best of contemporary music. Depending on your preferences, I can emphasize (or de-emphasize, or delete altogether) any of these styles.

My specialty is crafting seamless transitions between songs for beautiful, unbroken, live piano music. (My record is 4 1/2 hours of playing without a break, but I won't guarantee that I'll make it that long every time without taking a short break!)

My musical style is very flexible.  My specialties are:

~  Wedding ceremony music, including vocal solos if desired.

~  Elegant music for corporate events, dinners, banquets and receptions.  (I am an approved vendor for UF.)

~  Live piano music for birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, and retirements, emphasizing a certain theme or decade(s) of music.

~  Indoor and outdoor events (I can bring my digital piano, if your venue lacks a quality piano).

~  Christmas parties for family, friends, or business.

~  Special occasion music for Valentines Day and other romantic celebrations.

For many events, elegant background music is the obvious choice. But for a retirement, birthday, or Christmas party you may want a nice mix of sentimental favorites and playful sing-alongs.

 EVENT RATES

As a wedding planner and decorator, it is imperative that our recommendations are excellent as they reflect our focus on excellence in producing our clients' events. We are always delighted to recommend and work with Eric Redmond. He is a concert quality pianist, plays from music, by ear and composes as well! His upbeat attitude pervades his performance. He is a delightful individual. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
